Follows are journal prompts from the "Come Home to Yourself" retreat.
These prompts act as guides to open up an inner 'conversation' of self reflection. You do not need to complete every prompt or answer every question. If other questions pop up for you, follow those with curiosity... Some questions use she/her pronouns; Please change pronouns to fit your identification.
Day 1
Check in: How am I feeling right now? How am I arriving to this 'retreat?'
Prompt #1: How do I feel about being alone? Is there anything I've noticed or learned about myself already?
Prompt #2: What is my view of myself? How would I like to view myself?
Day 2
Check-in: How am I feeling? How does this experience seem to be going so far?
Prompt #1: Are there any recurring thoughts that continue to pop up? Is there anything I'd rather be thinking about?
Prompt #2: Picture the "ideal" version of yourself. What does she do? What are her habits, hobbies, and simple pleasures? How does she feel in her clothing? How does she treat others? Herself?
Day 3
Check in: How am I feeling? Have I gained any clarity about myself?
Prompt #1: List all the things you love and appreciate about yourself. Set a 5-minute timer and just keep writing until the timer is up.
Final Thoughts/Wrap-Up: What have you taken away from these days? What was your favorite part? Have your feelings about being alone or unplugged changed since the first day? Is there anything from these days you'd like to bring more of into your daily life? How do you plan to do it?
