monday evening

here I am,

in my monday evening,

drinking kombucha out of a wine glass.

and bubbles fall,

towards chapped lips,

becoming one another as i take my sips.

here I am,

in my home after work,

post-dinner, post-shower, basking in .5%.

and it's quiet,

i think the humble reminder:

we have no choice in the emotions others present.

in christmas kitten thrift,

and polar bear ears holding hair, grateful for this life i live.
